Snorkeling at Coki Beach is Considered the Best on St Thomas!
The water is generally calm and clear with a sandy bottom. We are the one beach on the island that has comparable snorkeling to St. John’s National Park beaches. You can literally stand in chest-deep water and feed a variety of reef fish.
We do recommend fins when snorkeling to prevent overtiring and problems with the current.
We do recommend applying sun screen at least 1/2 hour before entering the water and use only eco-friendly lotion.
We do not recommend snorkelers attempting to swim to Thatch Cay across from Coki Beach. It is further than it looks and there are strong currents with boat traffic!
Please remember not to stand on the coral reef with our fins or take anything from the water.
The beach can get busy, so it is best to get to the beach early and beat the crowd.
